New Kiwanis Club Organizing in Peachtree City
2-7-07 A new Kiwanis Club is organizing in Peachtree City
and is seeking men and women to become part of the global organization of
volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a
time. The club will further the Kiwanis International mission of responding
to global issues while serving the needs of the Peachtree City community by
performing valuable service projects.
The needs of the world are great, but together, Kiwanis members in more than 8600 clubs in more than 90 countries and geographic areas accomplish remarkable things for the children of the world. Kiwanis clubs provide an excellent opportunity to meet other service-minded individuals and network with business professionals while making a direct impact on the community through volunteering. The new McIntosh Trail Kiwanis Club will meet on a weekday during lunch, in order to give local business people, and others, an alternative to meeting with the Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City, which meets each Monday morning at 7:00 AM at the Wyndham Peachtree Hotel and Conference Center. The new club will focus on service projects addressing a variety of community needs. The Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City is sponsoring a free informational luncheon at the Wyndham Conference Center to provide more details on joining the new McIntosh Trail Kiwanis Club. The luncheon will be from 12:00 - 1:00 PM on February 27, 2007. Registration deadline is February 16. Space is limited so please register by calling Terry Wheeler, during normal business hours, at 770-631-0520. For additional information visit www.peachtreecitykiwanis.org.
