About the Fayette Front Page

Tired of reading about everything that isn't working in Fayette County and the state?  Tired of only seeing what the media wants you to see? Tired of getting sound bites instead of complete information? Would you like to know the good things that your government, neighbors, local businesses and others are doing?  Do you prefer "just the facts"? 

You have come to the right place!

The Fayette Front Page and Georgia Front Page are where you'll find happenings, business openings, reports on things being done to help our community and any other positive and / or factual news that affects the county and surrounding areas.

You'll find facts you won't typically find in the printed media or hear on radio or television news. You'll find links to help you find out more about the news, too.

We will be covering the news in ways printed media is unable to do! We'll report the things that you probably won't see in the other local news venues. We have a growing number of individuals with expertise in specific areas who contribute on a regular basis.

We think this is a great community and a great state. We want the world to know the REAL Fayette County and the REAL Georgia! Our motto is that old mantra our Moms repeated over and over as we were growing up:  If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. (However, you can send us positive criticism - we're always willing to improve!)

We'd like to say thanks to all of you who visit the site regularly! We also want to thank those who occasionally visit here but prefer our blogs, which are hosted separately and not included in our daily totals! Ditto to those who enjoy our photo stories on Slide and our videos on YouTube, Google and Yahoo. We're growing by leaps and bounds and appreciate the great support we're getting from the community!

How the Site Works

We update daily, sometimes hourly depending upon the news.

We archive most stories for a considerable amount of time. We date each column so you'll easily have a time frame point of reference. We pop most photos into the Fayette Photo Gallery after the story has run its course so you can continue to view them.

We have absolutely no problem with anyone copying a picture from the site as long as it is used solely for personal use (send to grandma, put it on your family site, use it as a screensaver on your personal computer, etc.). Stories, blogs and any other words from the Fayette Front Page are copyrighted and permission must be received to reprint them.

We try to have a bit of fun on the site, hence you'll find quotes, humor and other little touches of fun to break the monotony!
