Watercolorist Carla Cook
Smith, best known for her painting, “Waiting for the Train” which has
sold nationally, is donating a 16 x 20 original work of art to support
Fayette County Youth Protection. Carla has been painting for not quite
a year, yet her work as been well received in the South and across the
country.
The artist was recently
invited to showcase her work at two one woman shows in Charleston, South
Carolina. One of her shows was held at the Wentworth Mansion in the
historical district. Carla Cook Smith is the first artist to ever be
invited to show art at the Wentworth. Examples of her “Inspirations of
Charleston” series as well as other paintings are depicted on greeting
cards with this flyer.
