Sandy has painted off and on for years as time permitted, but has only now really stared to focus on her art. She paints in watercolor, pastels, and oils. She is also a member of the Fayette Art Center and Gallery. Her work is displayed there and at Arts Clayton Gallery in Jonesboro. She is married to Bill Holcomb, and lives in Fayetteville with her husband and elderly cat. She is a member of the First Methodist Church in Fayetteville. Sandy volunteers a few hours a week as a helper to her daughter’s first grade students at Hood Ave. Primary School. (Actually, she calls herself the class grandmother.) She is also a member of the Fayette County Retired Educator’s Association.
