Sandy
is membership chairperson for the Fayette Society of Fine Art. She
has been a member of FSOFA for a number of years, but has just
become an active member since she retired from teaching middle
school in Fayette County in 2004.
Sandy
has painted off and on for years as time permitted, but has only now
really stared to focus on her art. She paints in watercolor,
pastels, and oils. She is
also a member of the Fayette Art Center and Gallery. Her work is
displayed there and at Arts Clayton Gallery in Jonesboro.
She is
married to Bill Holcomb, and lives in Fayetteville with her husband
and elderly cat. She is a member of the First Methodist Church in
Fayetteville.
Sandy
volunteers a few hours a week as a helper to her daughter’s first
grade students at Hood Ave. Primary School. (Actually, she calls
herself the class grandmother.) She is also a member of the Fayette
County Retired Educator’s Association.
