Fayette County Red
Hat Chapter - The Fayette County Red Hat Chapter was organized by
the Fayette County Parks and Recreation Department in the fall of 2003.
The idea was formed when a couple of sisters vacationed in Oregon and
experienced the excitement of the red/purple colors and the sisterhood
this worldwide chapter has to offer. They brought back a request to the
department for us to begin our own chapter. The rest is history. What
began as a small group of 20 has now escalated to a large group of over
