We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand
fibers connect us with our fellow-men; and along those fibers, as
sympathetic threads, our actions run as causes, and they come back to us as
effects.

Fayetteville National Night Out & Back to School Event
7/28/08 (9:47 p.m.) On Tuesday August 5 the Fayetteville
Police Department, Fayetteville Fire Department and the Fayette County Sheriffs
Office will be participating in a “National Night Out” and back to school event.
From 6pm to 8pm police officers, sheriff’s deputies and firefighters will be at
the Target store in the Fayette Pavilion (107 Pavilion Parkway) to talk to
citizens about safety issues and provide fingerprinting and identification kits
for kids. Police cars, special police vehicles and fire trucks will also be on
display for viewing.
National Night Out (NNO) is a unique crime and drug prevention
event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. NNO is designed to
heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, strengthen neighborhood spirit and
police-community partnerships and send a message to criminals letting them know
that neighborhoods are aware. The Fayetteville Police Department is encouraging
all citizens to stop by support this National event.
There will be volunteers from Target, TJ Maxx, Chick-fil-A,
American Income Life, and the Fayetteville Police Department Citizens Police
Academy. They will be handing out crime prevention information, giveaways, and
door prizes.
