having a rummage sale Sat. May 24th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Everything
from clothing and books, to furniture and appliances. There will also
be a bake sale for shoppers. All proceeds will go toward the Summit's
youth program. More specifically, for their mission trip to
Louisville, KY this summer. So, come out, find some things you like,
some things you need, and spend some money for a great cause.

Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City. The special speaker will be
Cheryl White. Experience this amazing dimension of faith that includes all
denominations. The speaker is a powerful woman of faith, and the worship is

5/10/08 (11:52 a.m.) The Peachtree Wind Ensemble will perform
at a "Pops in the Park" Concert at Senoia City Park in downtown Senoia on
May 16 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will also feature the East Coweta High
School and Lee Middle School bands. The Peachtree Wind Ensemble is made up
of adult volunteer musicians from throughout the southside area. Any adult
who plays an instrument or used to play an instrument and would like to play
with a group again is invited to come and have fun making music. Rehearsals
are held on Monday evenings from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran

Love Chocolate? Eat All You Want and Feel Good
About It!
4/27/08 (10:31 p.m.) Promise Place, the council on domestic
violence that serves Fayette, Pike, Upson and Spalding counties is
inviting you to be a part of the May 17th fundraiser called Chocolate
Explosion. This fundraiser will allow local businesses to showcase their
chocolate treats to the public and at the same time help Promise Place to
raise money for their domestic violence shelter for women and children.
The event will be held at the Hollingsworth House on Hwy 54 in
Fayetteville between the hours of 1pm and 7 pm. Admission is $30 for
adults and $10 for children 11yrs and under and can be paid at the door.
There will be no advance ticket sales. For more information on Promise

Life of Fayette County event is quickly approaching- but there is still time to
get involved, make a donation, or simply attend. If you’ve been contemplating
how to make a contribution, consider the options listed below for some ideas:
You can a) join a team; b) walk/run the track as an individual or c) start your
own team.
You can also make a luminaria donation. During the 12-hour event, the Ceremony
of Hope is held where bags (luminaria) are lit- some honoring those that are
battling cancer and living to tell their story. Other luminaria honor those who
have lost their lives to the disease. Visit:

click on fundraisers. There, you will see a listing of ideas and places to go to
make a financial donation. If you just can’t make up your mind then just come to
the Kiwanis Fairgrounds on May 2 at 7 p.m., in Fayetteville.

The Summit of South Fayette is
having a rummage sale Sat. May 24th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Everything
from clothing and books, to furniture and appliances. There will also
