Big Apple Circus

It’s their 30th season and Big Apple Circus is throwing a birthday bash with this year’s brand new show, Celebrate! Watch in amazement as jugglers, capering dogs, high-prancing horses and acrobats perform in a single ring under the famous Big Top tent. MARCH

64th Annual Easter Sunrise Service

Experience serenity and peace as the Stone Mountain Ministerial Association presents two simultaneous, non-denominational Easter services at the top of Stone Mountain and at the base of the mountain on Memorial Lawn.  Park gates and Summit Skyride open at 4am. Services begin at approximately 6:15am. Please allow an extra hour or more for large crowds. Vehicle entry to the park is $8 cash for a one-day permit or $35 for annual permit. Church vans and buses enter free.  Round-trip Skyride fees are $9.00 for adults and $7.00 for children 3-11 and $5.50 one-way.  There are no fees for the walk-up trail to the top of the mountain.

Stone Mountain Park Spring FUN Break

Say good-bye to winter and a big HELLO to Spring at Stone Mountain Park’s nine-day kid festival. Spring FUN Break activities feature Tunes for Tots, Veggie Tales® meet & greets, Tall Tales of the South in the 4D theater and much more.   Stone Mountain Park’s Adventure Pass guarantees a full day for your family with access to all of the Spring FUN Break Festival activities plus all of Stone Mountain Park’s attractions including the Great Locomotive Chase Adventure Golf, Camp Highland Outpost, the scenic train ride, the Summit Skyride, the Riverboat, the Antebellum Plantation & Farmyard and museums. The Lasershow can be seen nightly April 5-12 and then Saturdays in April. The Adventure Pass is $25 (plus tax) for adults and $20 (plus tax) for children ages 3-11. 4th Annual Cool Car Festival

Year One and Stone Mountain Park present some of the funkiest and craziest automobiles during the Cool Car Festival.  Enjoy live entertainment, a chassis dyno, a kids play village and a Dream Car Rides charity fundraiser.  Enter your own cool car in the festival for $30. Entries have a shot at cash, trophies and prizes.  Cool Car Festival tickets are $11 for adults and $5 for children ages 3-11.  In addition to the Cool Car Festival, Stone Mountain Park offers families a full day of fun with great attractions and recreation.  Information and special hotel deals and packages at www.coolcarfest.com. Feria Latina

Enjoy three days of family fun with a Latin twist at the 2008 Feria Latina (Latin Festival) which celebrates the food, music and culture of Latin America & the Caribbean. The event takes place in the Special Events Meadow at Stone Mountain Park and includes festival rides, international cuisine and live entertainment. Tickets are $10 for adults and free for kids 12 and under. Vehicle entry to the park is $8 cash for a one-day permit or $35 for annual permit.

Frontier Days: Georgia Between the Wars

Journey through a century of Georgia history during Frontier Days: Georgia Between the Wars. Held at Stone Mountain Park’s Antebellum Plantation & Farmyard, your family can view live demonstrations of pre-Revolutionary times, the pioneer era and the Civil War. Meet a cavalry unit with horses in action, learn about weaponry, war strategy, battlefield medicine, frontier skills, cooking, music and clothing of the time period.  Admission to Frontier Days is included with the Adventure Pass ($25 adults and $20 children ages 3-11) or with the purchase of an individual Plantation ticket - $9.00 (plus tax). Heroes, sports and patriotic medleys with choreographed state-of-the art graphics are also new additions.  Traditional favorites such as “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” and “Celestial Soda Pop” are back by popular demand. Memorial Weekend Salute to the Troops

Make the time to thank the military as Stone Mountain Park honors American soldiers through its Memorial Weekend Salute to the Troops. Performing a free concert Sunday night is country music star Lee Greenwood best known for his hit, “God Bless the U.S.A.” Inspiring entertainment is provided by military bands followed by the 25th Anniversary Lasershow Spectacular™ and fireworks.  Make a day of it!  Get unlimited access to all of Stone Mountain Park attractions including the Great Locomotive Chase Adventure Golf, Camp Highland Outpost, the scenic train ride, the Summit Skyride, the Antebellum Plantation & Farmyard and more with the Adventure Pass ($25 adults and $20 children ages 3-11). Families are invited to join Antioch Baptist North, and Stone Mountain Park for sounds of praise and worship on the famous Laser lawn.  A church choir competition, dramatic performances, spoken word and national Gospel Acts are all part of the one day celebration. Atlanta Fest at Stone Mountain Park

Families and church youth groups will enjoy three days of contemporary Christian Music, inspirational speakers, and much more at the Southeast's largest Christian music fest. Artists such as Casting Crowns, Jeremy Camp, TobyMac, Shane and Shane, Big Daddy Weave, BarlowGirl, and over 40 more will headline Atlanta Fest’s five stages. Atlanta’s largest Fourth of July celebration explodes with excitement again at Stone Mountain Park with the Fantastic Fourth Celebration. 40TH Annual Yellow Daisy Festival

Turning 40 is good, especially when you’re the Southeast’s number one arts & craft show!  Exclusively at Stone Mountain Park, the Yellow Daisy Festival hosts more than 500 artists and crafters from all over the United States. Gather your friends for four days of shopping, live entertainment, children’s activities and mouth-watering festival foods. The Yellow Daisy Festival is free. Chili Cook-Off

Come to the premiere chili event east of Texas only at Stone Mountain Park. The Chili Cook-Off draws more than 300 teams competing for “Best Of”, “People’s Choice” and “Showmanship” awards in competition categories such as Chili, Brunswick Stew and Cornbread. More than $10,000 in prize money is awarded. Sample the great food and participate in a variety of contests. The event’s proceeds support Camp Twin Lakes, a non-profit that offers year-round recreational, therapeutic and educational programs for children facing serious illnesses and other physical, emotional and life challenges. Price: $10 for Adults. Children 12 and under are free. Vehicle entry to Stone Mountain Park is $8 cash for a one-day permit or $35 for an annual permit.

ART Station’s “A Tour of Southern Ghosts” features storytellers garbed in costumes who will fill your imagination with folk tales about rebellious ghosts of Civil War and Revolutionary War times.  Join in as the spooky glow of candlelight sets the mood for Southern tales of old, at Stone Mountain Park’s Antebellum Plantation. An entrance fee of $12 adults and $5 children (12 and under) is charged for event entry or adults can pre-purchase their tickets at a discounted rate of $10 at the Art Station. Regale in the spirit of Scotland at the Stone Mountain Highland Games. NOVEMBER

9th Annual Stone Mountain Park Indian Festival & Pow-Wow

Celebrate the history and heritage of Native Americans through interactive education and entertainment at Stone Mountain Park’s Indian Festival & Pow-Wow. Native Americans from across the United States gather to compete in dance and drum competitions. Primitive skill educators demonstrate fire making, basket weaving, hide tanning, cooking and more.  Native arts and crafts are available for purchase.   Admission is included in the Adventure Pass $25 (plus tax) for adults and $20 (plus tax) children ages 3-11 or individual tickets are $9.00 (plus tax).  Vehicle entry to park is $8 cash for a one-day permit or $35 for an annual permit.

Christmas comes to life during a Stone Mountain Christmas as Crossroads®, at the base of Stone Mountain, is decked out with more than two million lights.  Gather the family, young and old, for a holiday tradition featuring  the Polar Express™ 4D Experience, two musical reviews, a Christmas Parade, A Crossroads® Christmas Carol, The Gift Train Show, the Snow Angel and Nightly Snowfall Celebration, the Christmas Laser Show and Santa and Mrs. Claus up close and personal. Buy one-of-a-kind gifts from Stone Mountain Park artisans and enjoy holiday treats at a wide variety of restaurants. Admission prices for a Stone Mountain Christmas are $20 (plus tax) for adults and $17 (plus tax) for children ages 3-11.
