Kroger President Awards Top Prize of $13,864 to J.C. Booth Middle School
The Earning Plus Learning Educational Incentive Program is designed to make school fund-raising the easiest in town by simply using your Kroger Plus Card. Kroger awarded $1,000,000 to participating schools, and recently invited the top earners to an awards breakfast held at the Kroger headquarters in Atlanta. “This type of passive fundraising is absolutely ideal for our busy families,” says Ted Lombard, Principal at J.C. Booth Middle School. The J.C. Booth PTO coordinated a local drive for links among faculty, staff, students, parents and the Peachtree City community. “We received incredible support from the management and employees at the Kroger on N. Peachtree Parkway,” adds former PTO President, Angela Newton. “We set some lofty goals, and used several forums such as Meet The Teacher, Curriculum Night and quarterly newsletters to spread the word. We were thrilled with the results!” Information about the Kroger Earning Plus Learning Program is available at www.krogerearningpluslearning.com. Linking your Kroger Plus Card to the school of your choice costs you nothing, takes a second, and can amount to a $20 contribution per cardholder making $500 or more purchases during the school year.
