We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand
fibers connect us with our fellow-men; and along those fibers, as
sympathetic threads, our actions run as causes, and they come back to us as
effects.

Robinson, Betty Harrah, Susan Sloan, Willene Jackson, and Rachel Colbert.
8/28/07 At a recent FCBOE meeting, John
DeCotis presented a proclamation for the upcoming National Constitution Week to
the James Waldrop Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.
The proclamation
urges all students in Fayette County to study the US Constitution and reflect on
the privilege of being an American. DeCotis also thanked the ladies of the DAR
for their ongoing efforts to raise awareness and teach the children about the
Constitution.
Ann Eldredge, Chapter Chairman for
Constitution Week, described some of the events the chapter will provide to
elementary schools in the district.
"One of the goals of the DAR is to
promote education. During Constitution Week, we will be in several of the
schools to help teach them about the document which is the backbone of our
nation," Eldredge said.
