Jonathon Adler Introduces New Line at DECOR Expo

8/29/07 America's favorite homewares designer, Jonathon Adler, will unveil a new collection at DECOR Expo Fall 2007, from September 7 to 9 at Georgia World Congress Center.

Adler has designed two frame lines exclusively for custom framer Larson-Juhl, extending his popular homewares empire to offer quality wall accessories in his signature modern style. Larson-Juhl is a Berkshire Hathaway company that designs, manufactures and distributes fine custom frames.

The Meurice collection's organic shape is inspired by bamboo with a lacquer finish in hues of ice blue, white, lime, chocolate and black. Meurice features three profiles: a one-inch cap with a classic, rounded bamboo shape; double bamboo ornamentation with a center panel, giving the appearance of a stacked moulding; and a 2 7/8 inch wide version for a more dramatic statement.

The Thornhill collection features textured wood in shades of bone, espresso, chambray and oxblood, with steel cornices to lend an industrial edge. Thornhill features two contemporary profiles and a fillet to round out the collection. The smaller profile is 1¼inches wide with an angled back edge and sides finished in a smooth, slick lacquer that contrasts the linen texture on top. The larger version is 2 ¾ inches wide and is the perfect flat profile for a modern interior. A nailhead fillet is available in polished nickel and brass to add a glamorous look to the rich Thornhill finishes. 

Adler also offers his artwork for sale through Artaissance, Larson-Juhl's online art reproduction gallery. His colorful, geometric abstract pieces can be ordered in different sizes on canvas or paper to fit different spaces and budgets. At DECOR Expo, Larson-Juhl will design a vignette spotlighting its collaboration with Adler, including his artwork, frames and furniture.

Larson-Juhl will join over 350 exhibitors taking part in DECOR Expo, the world's largest decorative art and framing tradeshow. DECOR Expo showcases custom picture framing, mouldings, framing equipment and tools, supplies, limited editions, photography, art licensing, retail systems, mixed media, mirrors, lithographs and sculptures.
