We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow-men; and along those fibers, as sympathetic threads, our actions run as causes, and they come back to us as effects.

Pair Awarded Rank of Eagle Scout

Daniel Plante, Stephen Plante, Paul Trinquero, John Trinquero, and Mark Trinquero

11/13/07 (7:41 a.m.) John Trinquero and Daniel Plante were recently awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest award given to Scouts. To become an Eagle Scout, the young men have fulfilled service projects, and demonstrated outdoor skills and leadership abilities. The completion of their individual service projects earned these Scouts with the honor that only about 5% achieve. Trinquero's service project included the building of a wooden fence for a new petting zoo at the Fayette YMCA, while Plante built a food bridge over a creek at Starrs Mill High School. These young men not only join their siblings in this honor, they also join the more than 1.7 million young men who have earned this rank. Both boys are members of Troop 211 which is sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Peachtree City.

Spring Hill Makes Music

10/16/07 Dinah Clore’s second grade class came to Music with their own homemade instruments! The students read a story, Max Found Two Sticks, in which a young boy finds everyday things and uses his imagination to make music. The kids had to be creative and use only things they could find --- not purchase --- and design their own musical instrument. They were able to tell their music teacher, Karen Neuner, if it was a percussion or string instrument. It was fun for the kids!!

How Smart is Your Right Foot?

This is so funny that it will boggle your mind. And you will keep trying at least 50 more times to see if you can outsmart your foot, but you can't.

1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction. I told you so.  And there's nothing you can do about it
