Three High Schools Make Newsweek’s Top High School List
5/23/08 (4:56 p.m.) Starr’s Mill High, McIntosh High and Sandy Creek High have
been listed by Newsweek magazine as being among the top high schools in the
nation.
Each year the magazine ranks the nation’s high schools by
taking the number of Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate tests
all students take in a given school divided by the school’s number of graduating
seniors.
Starr’s Mill falls on the list at number 981, McIntosh 1105
and Sandy Creek 1340.
A total of 49 Georgia schools are included on the nationwide
list of 1,358 schools. The latest list draws on 2006 data.
