Rotary Honors Floy Farr with Alzheimer's Donations
9/17/07 Membership in the Rotary Club of Peachtree City meant a
great deal to Peachtree City co-founder Floy Farr. But his real passion was to
assist those individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s Disease.
To honor Floy and recognize this passion the Rotary Club made two donations to support the 2007 Southern Crescent Alzheimer’s Memory Walk. Presenting the check to Iola Snow, right, Co-Chairman of the event, is Costas Soulakos, representing the Rotary Floy Farr Foundation. A generous donation was also made by Amy Leuenberger, Captain of the Rotary Club Memory Walk Team. The Memory Walk is scheduled to begin on Saturday morning, October 6th in the parking lot of the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater. Last year over $200,000 was raised to fight this dreaded disease. This year’s participants will include individuals and teams from six south Atlanta counties.
