Cowgirl City Ranch,
Tyrone
Cowgirl
City Ranch is an educational resource farm featuring Agra-tourism,
benefiting youth of all ages. We are situated on 15 acres just 15
minuets South of Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Tyrone, GA.
We are dedicated to serving those with cognitive,
physical, or emotional disabilities with animal assisted therapy.
Cowgirl City Ranch is home to a variety of horses ranging in size
from Shetland ponies to Belgians, and farm animals, including goats,
sheep, and pot belly pigs, ducks, chickens, rabbits, cats and dogs.
Our desire is to build the emotional and mental well-being of all
people; particularly those with special needs, through establishing
an atmosphere of respect and love in an agricultural environment.
During a visit to the farm, the guests learn all
about the anatomy of the horses, their diet, how to estimate their
height and weigh, and their history.

They also have the opportunity to feed, touch, and
pet the other farm animals.
The Outreach Program provides the opportunity for
children from the inner city and those from disadvantaged
circumstances to develop self-awareness, self-confidence, and
self-discipline. Riding lessons, summer camps, and field trips serve
those with means to pay for services and those without paying
ability. It is our goal that services will never be refused because
of finances.
In addition to the equestrian activities, we are
offering the youth and community a complete farming experience. We
are currently home to a 125 apple tree orchard and 40 blueberry
bushes; we are also preparing the grounds for our first all natural
crop of vegetables, as we aspire to become Certified Organic
Producers.

Yes, Fayette County, the Spirit
of Giving is Still Here

12/12/07 (10:28 a.m.) "God is
so great. This is something I could not do by myself," said Cowgirl
City Ranch Founder Joyce Sneed as we stood on the overgrown property and
listened to the sounds of heavy machinery, saws, hammers..
