Macy's Partners with March of
Dimes
Macy’s South, a division of Macy’s Inc., has partnered with March of Dimes
by developing a co-branded electronic gift card. Beginning November 1,
2007 through January 2008, 10% of the purchase price of each “Giving Every
Baby a Healthy Start” gift card will be donated to the March of Dimes. The
cards are available in the children’s department at all Macy’s South
stores in the following 10 states: Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana,
North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
Macy’s will launch the gift card program starting November
1 and will promote the gift cards through January. Stores will position
the display in the children’s department at the register. Additionally
they will have a master display at the entrance of the store. See
attached for the March of Dimes branded gift card and holder designed by
Macy’s that also promotes Every Baby Has A Story on our web site and the
Macy’s direct mail advertising with our gift card included.
Chapters can help Macy’s sell out the gift cards (100%)
by promoting the program. Please send email communication about the card
to your volunteers. Also please promote the program at events as well
with ads in program, announcements from the stage, etc. We have postcards
that can be used as well. If you are interested, please mail me your
request, the event and the quantity needed, and we will send you postcards
on a first come, first served basis.
Also if you think the gift card might be a gift idea for
one your local companies who is already purchasing gift cards, Macy’s
printed an extra 5,000 cards that can be purchased by companies and your
chapter will receive the 10% of their purchase.
This promotion will be a great message to moms about the
March of Dimes and our mission to give all babies a healthy start through
a high visibility partner like Macy’s. Please let me know if you have any

March of Dimes Walk in Peachtree City this Saturday!
Put on your “marching” shoes! The March for Babies walk is Saturday
April 26th! Here are a few things you’ll need to know:
Registration starts at 8:00 am – if you did not attend one of the two
Bank Days this week.
Team pictures start at 9:00 am (ABC order)
Warm up starts at 9:45 am and the march starts promptly at 10:00 am.
The march is 3 miles - starting at 191 McIntosh Trail, Peachtree City,
GA 30269. The cart paths will be heavily marked with arrows, mission
and mile markers.
Water stations will be along the route along with Cheerleaders!!
(Please do not litter, we want to keep Peachtree City Beautiful)
Lunch will be provided by Publix
As you finish the march come back to the start/finish line, grab your
lunch, sit down and relax!
