Fayette County Retired Educators
Association
Fayette County Retired Educators Association (FCREA) is the local
unit of Georgia Retired Educators Association (GREA), the only organization in
Georgia focusing solely on the needs of retired educators. FCREA meets the third
Thursday of the month at 10:30 A.M. The next meeting of FCREA will be November
15, 2007 at the Heritage Bank, Jeff Davis Drive, Fayetteville. The meeting is
open to the public.

Educators Association

Sweat Presented with Reflections of Georgia Educators II

11/9/07 (12:32 a.m.) Sam Sweat,
Assistant Superintendent of Operations Fayette County
Board of Education, recently received a copy of
Reflections of Georgia Educators II, from the
Fayette County Retired Educators Association.
Presenting the book to Sweat are Jim
Haymans, President-elect; Carol Love, President; and
Carol Lunsford, Area X Director, Georgia Retired
Educators Day.
Sweat, the featured speaker for the
50th anniversary celebration of Georgia Retired
Educators Association, led the audience in memories of
events that stood out within their education careers.
Sweat commended those present for their dedication to
the education profession and to the youth of Fayette
County.

Fayette County Retired Educator’s Painting on
Display at the Fayette Senior Services Center
 2/23/08
(5:35 p.m.) A painting by retired educator Sandy Holcomb was among those chosen
for display at the Fayette Senior Services Center. Holcomb’s work as well as
works by fifteen other artists will hang in the center for three months.
