Toastmasters
“Toastmasters stand up to be seen, speak out to be heard, and sit down to
be appreciated.”
Toastmasters International is a self-help educational organization to improve
communication and leadership skills. Learning by doing and improving by
repeating, Toastmasters offer constructive criticisms while providing
experience in leadership and oral communication.
Toastmasters is a non-profit communication and leadership program designed to
enhance our listening, speaking and thinking abilities by actually doing them.
High Noon Toastmasters Club - Meets the 2nd and 4th
Tuesday's of each month at the LaFayette Educational Center in downtown
Fayetteville. Detailed information is obtained at the club website;

Peachtree City Toastmasters also has open membership with meetings held the
1st and 3rd Monday of each month.

Carleton L. Williams, Distinguished Toastmaster, deciding to continue his
improvement in public speaking abilities recently presented his second
speech in the Competent Toastmaster series. The Competent Toastmaster series is a ten step
process. The beginning Toastmaster is taught to organize thoughts, verbally
recognize those speaking to, deliver speeches within a set time frame,
present impromptu speeches, positively critique others, use vocal variety,
and to use effective body language. Once the Competent Toastmaster level is
achieved a toastmaster journeys on to becoming an Advanced Toastmaster.

4-11-06 Peachtree City Toastmaster, Harry VanderKrabben won the
Division A contest for Best International Speech Competition. He will
advance to the statewide contest (District 14) that will be held on May
6th at the Spring Conference held at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference
Center in Peachtree City.
At this Contest, held at the Clayton County Water Authority on March 25th,
Mr.VanderKrabben advanced to the top over 43 other clubs.
Peachtree City Toastmasters meet at 7pm on the 1st and 3rd Monday, at
Kroger Community Room (Kedron Village)
1101 N Peachtree Parkway, Peachtree City.
Toastmasters is a non-profit communication and leadership program. It is

4/3/08 (8:10 a.m.) Paulette Bass gave her tenth speech at the
High Noon Toastmaster meeting late March, reaching a club milestone worthy of
recognition. However, the day was not done! In addition to Toastmaster
recognition, she was honored by the Fayette County Commission and the City of
Peachtree City. March 25th was declared Paulette Bass Day. Paulette Bass is a
resident of the Developmental Disabilities Ministries of Georgia Hi-Hope Group
Home in Fayetteville.

12/20/07 (9:51 a.m.) High Noon Toastmasters Vice President of
Education JD Dirkschnider receives the Best Speaker and the Best Evaluator
Award at the High Noon Toastmasters. High Noon Toastmaster President Alan

5-30-07 Fayetteville audiologists and High Noon
President Dr. Andy Waits achieves the first level of
achievement, Competent Toastmasters, CTM, by completing the Basic
Communications and Leadership Program Manual on May 22 at the
regular Toastmasters meeting. The basic manual includes 10 projects
ranging from 4-6 minutes to the last for 8-10 minutes. Dr. Waits
played and sang to inspire his audience. It was indicated that the
audience was inspired by a standing ovation for him. Later after the
meeting, members asked him if he could teach them to play, too.
High Noon Toastmasters meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at the Lafayette Learning Center at Noon. The learning center is on Lafayette Ave. behind Arby's on Hwy. 85
in Fayetteville.

Peachtree City Toastmaster, Harry VanderKrabben (center)
recently won the District contest for Best International Speech competition.
He will advance to the Region 8 contest that will be held on June 10 in
Charlottesville, VA. VanderKrabben advanced to the top over 166 other
clubs. Presenting the award are Contest Master Jim Dawson and District
Govenor Felicia Artis.

A speech contest is being held at the VFW lodge,
located at the American Legion, on Highway 85, just south of the
Fayetteville square at 7 pm on Tuesday, March 27, 2007. Visitors and
prospective members are welcome to come and be entertained. Learn new
leadership skills and enjoy the fellowship with toastmasters members.

Andy Waits was installed as the incoming President of High Noon
Toastmasters.

The High Noon Toastmasters Club is one of the more than 10,500
Toastmasters clubs around the world. Through participation in the
Toastmasters program, people from all backgrounds learn to effectively
speak, conduct meetings, manage a department or business, lead, delegate
and motivate.
A Toastmasters club is a “learn-by-doing” workshop in which men and
women hone their skills in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. Those
joining a Toastmasters club learn communication skills by working in the
Communication Program manual, a series of 10 speaking
assignments designed to instill a basic foundation in public speaking.
The club meeting lasts approximately one hour on the second and fourth
Tuesday at 12:00 Noon at the Lafayette Educational Center (the old
Fayette County High School) in Building B, room 208.
Visitors (potential members) are always
welcome.
