Dr. Mary Kay Bacallao has announced that she will run
for Post 2 on the Fayette County School Board. Dr. Mary Kay has 20
years of community service in the field of education. She holds an
earned doctorate in educational leadership. She was listed in “Who’s
Who in American Colleges and Universities” and currently serves as a
Professor in the Tift College of Education at Mercer University.
Dr. Mary Kay taught in public schools for 9 years
and received the Little Red Schoolhouse Award for effective
educational programs. She has also served as an educational
consultant to school districts in Alabama, New Jersey and New
