District Attorney presents $10,000 check to Promise Place
District Attorney
Scott Ballard recently presented a check for $10,000 to Heidi Becker,
Outreach Director for Promise Place, the Fayette County Council on
Domestic Violence. The money came out of the District Attorney's
Victim Assistance Fund and will go toward helping victims of domestic
abuse and their children.
Upon presenting the
check, Mr. Ballard said "We're proud of what Promise Place does for
the community and we are please to be able to help the victims in this
way. It is my hope that the contribution will help Promise Place
continue to offer services to the over 700 victims they serve each
year".
District Attorney
Ballard also announced plans for a soft ball tournament between the
District Attorney's office and the Prosecuting Attorney's offices
throughout the Griffin Judicial District with all the monies raised
to benefit Promise Place. For more information on Promise Place call
