8/19/07 Early Saturday morning, approximately 200
cyclists gathered in the parking lot in front of Bicycles
Unlimited for the 8th Annual Spinning Through Time
Century and Fun Ride.
Cyclists mapped out their routes for the 30,
40, 65 and 100 mile options. The cyclists received their final
instructions, safety tips, and they were off... Off to enjoy the
beauty of Fayette County and to help Fayetteville native Erin
Hawkins in her stated mission of organizing support and
educating others in an effort to end the devastating effects of
Multiple Sclerosis.
"Not too many people get an email from God," Erin said. "I was a
cyclist first and I have multiple sclerosis. I have a very
unique opportunity to use something I have."
Erin believes her cycling and exercise has
kept her going strong.
"It gives me a reason," she said.
Erin's Fight, a para-charity organization,
will also participate the 2nd weekend in September in the MS 150
Challenge at Callaway Gardens. Go to
www.ms150atlantachallenge.org for more information.
After the ride, cyclists enjoyed a bike swap at Bicycles
Unlimited. Part of the proceeds of the day were donated to
Erin's Fight. To learn more about Erin, go to

Ride Erin, ride.
