Clayton State Women’s Forum to
Celebrate Women’s History Month with Cynthia Kirkland Cathy
3/10/08 (6:17 p.m.) The Clayton State University Women’s Forum
will be celebrating Women’s History Month on its Tuesday, Mar. 18 meeting with
a special guest speaker, Cynthia Kirkland Cathy.
The luncheon meeting will be held in the
University’s Harry S. Downs Center in room 101 from noon to 1:30 p.m. The cost
of eth luncheon is $12 per person. Please RSVP to Terri Taylor-Hamrick at

territaylor-hamrick@clayton.edu. The Women’s Forum welcomes walk-ups, but
may only be able to accommodate those without reservations on a space
available basis.
Cathy graduated from Georgia State
University with a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in
Christian counseling in conjunction with the Psychological Studies Institute.
A former member of the Clayton County School Board, she serves on the board of
trustees for Psychological Studies Institute.
Cathy’s husband Don “Bubba” Cathy, senior vice president of Chick-fil-A, Inc.,
one of the largest privately-held restaurant chains in the country. He is also
president of the Chick-fil-A Dwarf House® concept which operates 11
full-service restaurants offering table and counter waitress service,
self-service dining and drive-thru window service. Dwarf House®, Inc. has also
developed a new dining concept called “Truett’s Grill® ” with locations in the
metro Atlanta area. He is also vice president of Chick-fil-A’s WinShape
Foundation®. In this role, he oversees the WinShape Homes, WinShape
Wilderness, and WinShape Retreat.
